Maintenance & Care
A few simple habits keep aluminium windows, doors, glass and screens looking good and operating the way they should.
Aluminium frames
Wash frames regularly with a mild detergent and fresh water, then rinse. In coastal or exposed locations, wash more often. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads and solvents — they can damage the finish.
Glass
Clean glass with a mild detergent and a soft cloth or squeegee. Keep scrapers, blades and abrasive pads away from the surface, as they scratch glass and can damage coatings.
Tracks and sills
Keep tracks and sills clear of dirt, sand and debris with a brush or vacuum so doors and windows keep running smoothly. Check that drainage holes stay clear so water can escape as intended.
Hardware
Keep locks, handles, hinges and rollers clean and free of grit. If a mechanism feels stiff or is not latching cleanly, don't force it — have it looked at before it is damaged further.
Screens
Brush screens gently or rinse them with fresh water. Take care not to press or stretch the mesh, as it can distort and won't sit flat again.
